The mistery revealed; WordPress.com misbehaving
So for all of you who were wondering what the API keys are for, go check out Akismet, a new solution to comment spam. Of course this is just the first of several things in the oven. Of course on WordPress.com we’re already handling all your spam problems for you, so no need to install Akismet or similar. To clarify, you use your API key to run Akismet on your own blog.

The mystery of the API key has been revealed. Behold the Akismet. Unfortunately, it seems to be much like Spam Karma 2.0. So, nothing new here.
In other news, wordpress.com seems to be misbehaving… the add link dialog doesn’t work, and for a few minutes, every link to a wordpress.com blog redirects to the homepage, sometimes indefinitely, causing Flock and/or Firefox to give an error.
Update: I managed to fix the add link page by stopping at just the right time — when the last “Add link” button shows up. I have no idea what causes this problem.

Hi,
I was curious as to what you meant here by SK2 misbehaving… Have you noticed any reproducible bug or issue while using it? If so would you care to share with me so I can try to fix it?
Thanks a lot!
Actually, I meant that wordpress.com was misbehaving.
